Yummy! I want/need to make tortillas but I've felt too lazy to deal with the mess and the resting but they are so worth it. I need to keep telling myself that.
There wasn't too much mess, I used my Stand Mixer for all the mixing and kneeding. I'm thinking about getting or making a tortilla press. I need to get them thinner and big enough around for fajitas or tacos. Maybe two plates with plastic wrap or parchment paper to reduce sticking ... The biggest problem I had was the heat, it was way too hot in the kitchen the day I made them.
I'll try corn tortillas next. We eat a lot more flour tortillas around here though so ... I did get a griddle to cook them on so that my stainless steel pans don't get all messed up. I'm still scrubbing the one I made these on.
I have cast iron now so that is nice. Most people I think eat flour. These are great because they have the corn flavor but are pliable like flour. All fresh tortillas are yummy in my book!
Well, Perez, they did turn out a little bit strange. First of all they are made with whole grain wheat flour, so they are brown rather than white, and secondly they are too thick and didn't turn out quite right.

I made tortillas yesterday. They were not messy either surprisingly.
It is a recipe for almost corn tortillas with a mix of masa and flour.
They were yummy and are all gone!
